How does it work?

In the Mini-Pleat HEPA Filter, sheets of filter media are folded, and they form pleats in a zig-zag pattern. The pleats in this filter are more closely spaced than in conventional pleated filters, resulting in a compact arrangement. Hence, these filters are designed in such a way that their surface area is maximized within a reduced frame, which makes them trap more particles. Therefore, these filters have a higher efficiency than other conventional filters. Also, because of the maximized surface area, these filters have a high dust-holding capacity along with an extended lifespan.

Owing to the increased surface area in these filters, more airflow occurs through the filter without a considerable increase in resistance, and therefore, these filters have a lower pressure drop than conventional filters.

These filters are efficient in trapping small particulate matter such as dust and pollen by using the mechanisms of interception, impaction, and diffusion.

  • Pharmaceuticals: Our Mini-Pleat HEPA filters are used in cleanrooms and laboratories in the pharmaceutical industry to prevent contamination of the manufactured drugs. They can also be used in laminar flow hoods, where they maintain a unidirectional flow of pure air, which safeguards products from airborne particles.
  • Food and beverage: These filters ensure that hygiene and safety standards are maintained in the food processing industry through the elimination of airborne contaminants. Particularly, they can be utilized in cleanrooms where processes like dairy processing and fermentation occur or where ready-to-eat food is prepared.
